Selendang Babies

In our group of friends, there's been a bit of a baby boom, especially amongst the helpers. It's nice to have a few more babies showing up at playgroup and hanging out with our group of kids.

I'm really inspired by these selendang carriers. I'm obsessed with the bold colours and intricate patterns, and the way that this piece of cloth can do so much. It was one of the things that I first fell in love with when we arrived in Indonesia, seeing so many babies carried about in these beautiful fabric sings, people going about their lives and work with a baby on their hip. I even bought a couple for two-and-a-half year-old Stella.

Here's Sweet Baby Lupna and her mum Yeti. And next, baby Reski and his mum Wati. Aren't they the sweetest? And those slings? Heart eyes for days.
