Taking Stock

I thought I'd do this, you know, hop on that bandwagon and join the fun. I've seen this meme around for a while, but most recently at Inked in Colour.  I thought it would be a nice way to evaluate where I am right now. A little snapshot of sorts. I hope I can do this about once a quarter. I hope to be able to look back on a collection of these and see where things are, what's changed, what hasn't, and see what I can learn from this exercise.

Making: Messes (and not cleaning them up.)

Cooking: Not often enough.

Drinking: Too much wine.

Reading: Nazilia Fathi’s ‘The Lonely War.’ It’s a memoir about life in Iran, and it’s really great.

Wanting: A little more time and a lot more calm.

Looking: For ways to simplify our home.

Playing: With my new camera.

Waisting: Time on social media.

Sewing: Noting. The answer will always be nothing.

Dreaming: Of living by the sea.

Liking: Evenings in, hanging out with my sister.

Wondering: Where we’ll be next year.

Loving: The early toddler years. This is such a fun stage.

Hoping: For a beach vacation.

Marvelling: At how my big girl is growing and becoming more independent.

Needing: A closet clear out, and a clutter reduction.

Smelling: Bottoms. Diaper checks, you know? (Sorry, but truth.)

Wearing: Cutoffs and cotton tees.

Following:  My one-year-old around the garden.

Noticing: Freckles appearing on my girl’s nose.

Knowing: Nothing stays the same.

Thinking: About what I want my life to look like.

Bookmarking: Too many pages devoted to children’s clothing.

Opening: My heart.

Giggling: When my boy is being naughty.

Feeling: Better.
