Ten on Ten {or 12 on 12}
I try (and most often fail) to take pictures once an hour for ten (or twelve) hours once a month. I start of with good intentions, setting my alarm to remind me. And then life happens, I pour a cup of milk and say, I'll set that right after and then it's wiping up a mess and two hour later I realise I forgot to make a picture. Or, as in the case of this particular day, we come home from the museum, and everyone is freezing and two out of three are screaming and I'm wiping snot and tears, warming cold hands, nursing a baby in the back of an uber and then it's bath time before I remember that I'm working on a project. So here. Not quite a picture an hour, but certainly a happy glimpse into our life as it is in Shanghai.
6:18 am // Cuddling in bed with my two ladies
6:28 am // Preparing for a morning Skype meeting
7:32 am // An early nap for Lyra
8:25 am // Strong morning sun and a little boy playing cars
8:43 am // Sun is so rare and so very treasured that I can't help myself from taking these pictures of the strange ways that light reflects off steal and glass of the highrises around our apartment
9:26 am // Helping Hugo get his shoes on. A compromise so he'll go out to play with our babysitter
10:48 am // The light in my office
1:29 pm // Friday is bonbon day. Stella comes home early and I buy her a candy at the store
1:59 pm // Hugo at the Long Museum
2:18 pm // Immersive Light by James Turrell
2:34 PM // Immersive Light by James Turrell
14:58 PM // The Long Museum
15:01 PM // Immersive Light by James Turrell
6:39 PM // Bath time was a compromise; I promised stories in the bath in exchange for a hair wash.
I'm linking up for the fist time with Sesame Ellis. Rachel's Blog is here, and here's the facebook group.
