"a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2015."
Stella: She's really into singing songs in Indonesian. We got into a taxi, and she started running through her list of Indonesian language songs. The taxi driver was pretty impressed and started singing along. And I listened to both of them sing, and thought just how wonderful the people of this country are.
Hugo: He's an incredibly social baby. He'll go to almost anyone. He demands high fives from strangers in the elevator. He walks into a room and says, "Ba!" which means bye, which I think also means "hi!". I think it's a product of growing up in Indonesia, a culture that sees children as a gift, a delight, and not a burden or a grave responsibility. Anyway, this is a great pleasure for me.
A few portraits from our last few days in Bali. I said on Instagram that I'll be dining out on these pictures for weeks. Really. That trip was wonderful. I'm aching to go back as soon as possible.
